Reading Challenge Week 1

I wanted to tell you about this awesome challenge happening right now. Razeena from Read Little Muslims has put together a reading challenge like no other, a weekly challenge to encourage reading aloud to children with Islamic themed prompts to keep you guided and motivated. The challenge will run for 6 weeks in which you can share your books surrounding each weeks theme. Each week brings a new opportunity to read to your children and share your books and finds using the #littlemuslimsread hashtag. We’ll be checking out the posts and hoping to see a great range of books by everyone participating.

And the best part, you’re all invited!

READING CHALLENGE-5

Use this as an opportunity to learn, grow and read (aloud) with and to your children. Let this be the motivation to read and make it a habit that sticks around even after the challenge is over.

This week’s prompt is ‘Allah is the creator’. Share books about Allah and his creation. Books for big kids or little ones, even books that may not have an Islamic theme but can be used to discuss creation and all its awe.

What a great idea! Now I just need to find a place where I can find quality Islamic books!

It is. Check out Read Little Muslims for reviews and suggestions of high quality books. But Amazon is probably the best bet for you, with postage etc. I’ll be doing a round up of the books I read in a few weeks with Amazon links :) Thanks for the support!
